Don Lindquist (4187)



4/8/2008: A police motorcycle officer on routine patrol in the area witnessed two suspects fleeing the store on foot and tried to stop them. One of the suspects got into a Mitsubishi and drove south at a high rate of speed. Police said the motorcycle officer was unable to follow the suspect and called the incident in on his police radio. The accident happened moments later. Police said the Mitsubishi was traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran a stop sign at the intersection and collided with the westbound pickup driven by 89-year-old Don Lindquist. Lindquist was pronounced dead at the scene.
